Avril and co - I've been more or less housebound now for about 3 months and seriously bothered by cabin fever!! ;D But the good news is that I have been given a cancellation and will be in hospital on Monday 9th Dec for a hip replacement - I'm so looking forward to be normal again, whatever that might be!!

Hi Liz, I am so sorry to hear you have been out of action recently.
My father has just had a full knee replacement and also corrective surgery to straighten that leg which was badly smashed many years ago. He was only in for 4 days and just a week after, he is managing to get about and physio is going really well.
I will be thinking of you on Monday and hope the operation is a great success and you make a speedy recovery.
Very Best Wishes, Sarah. xx

Sorry to learn that you have been grounded Liz and no doubt very uncomfortable too. That's good news that you will have the much needed op before the year is out. Will think of you on the 9th and lets hope that you will soon be underway again Angela x

That's great news - a rider I know had both in the same year and never looked back. Good luck.

I know how difficult it must be for you liz, you've spent your life being active. So glad you've finally got an appointment and wishing you all the luck in the world for tomorrow's operation. Keep your spirits up, it will be well worth it I'm sure. x

Just had Sunday lunch with a not so young lovely lady who had one new hip replacement 12 weeks ago and a second new hip 6 weeks ago. She drove to lunch and walked up the enormous flight of stairs to our friend's house. Amazing!
