Hi have just joined this forum. I bought Minnie from safecobs just over 6 years ago. One divorce (and happy remarriage!) three strokes, one heart attack and one lot of open heart surgery later (me not Minnie!) we are still both here. I remember Erika and George from years ago! Still have the lovely Minnie who has helped my kids (both disabled) to ride (ish!) and is now working with me in a yard run by a charity that supports young people who are struggling. Minnie has always been a complete star and still is, helping the kids in her own sweet gentle way and still up for a blast up the hills with me! I have got back in contact with Avril, as we are looking for another safecob to work with Minnie - my son is 14 and 5'11'' and is starting to look a bit big on Minnie who is 14hh!
Look forward to catching up with everyone soon!
Heather and Minnie

Hi Heather, lovely to have you on the forum and thank you for joining. I remember the day of Minnie's arrival as if it were yesterday, including her first ride. She was such a lovely little mare to work with as tried so hard to get it right. She clearly continues to do so, little star that she is. We always called her MinnieMouse but Minnie is even better.

Hi Heather, Great to hear from you and I remember Minnie (Mouse). Sorry to hear that you have had such a hard time but really pleased that you have pulled through together. Whilst I haven't been as poorly as you I have had serious illness and death to deal with in the family. I found George a blessing at this stage as I could just take him out for a ride and a good cry and he was quiet, calm and undemanding. I too have a 14 year old son who is now 6 foot and wears size 12 shoes but unfortunately he is not interested in riding. You need a George! A gentle giant as he is known as around here, my livery lady's autistic daughter loves him to bits and he enjoys being cuddled by her in the field. Good luck in your hunt for a bigger horse, I sure there is a lovely horse out there just waiting to meet you and your son. Best wishes, Erika & George
