As always I loved reading the latest newsletter and catching up with the latest happenings. My sympathy goes out to Gabriel. What a horrible experience. I trust the lovely Reggie will look after him. I read with interest about Reggie's honest and open personality. It is something that struck me whilst working with him on the Instinctive Horsemanship course. Even with my limited experience of different horses, Reggie kind of exuded a real air of innocence and honesty. Wishing both some happy rides out together.

I really enjoyed the latest news letter too, thank you Avril. I am so glad Gabriel was unhurt, but it does sadden me that people can be SO dishonest, to the detriment of the future happiness of their horse, let alone the possibility of causing injury to some poor unsuspecting potential new owner! This is sadly something I have come across time and time again, over my years of viewing potential new ponies for the girls. Oh the stories I could tell ..... Reggie sounds SO lovely, I really regret my chance to meet him at the summer party - someone is going to be VERY lucky once he has finished his training. Hope this next batch of wet weather due does not last too long - I know how much you love the sun Avril. ;D Best wishes, Sarah. xx

Thanks Angela and Sarah for your concern and good wishes It was certainly a dramatic departure but luckily no harm done, mainly due to Gabriel's youth. It would be great to hear some of those stories, Sarah, round the campfire at next year's party and will make a mental note for a theme....unexpected falls, or even better, unwanted horseshopping falls ! I still can't quite believe the seller was lying, she seemed so genuine (haven't we heard that before) but equally, she must have known her horse and from the performance, we doubt very much whether she's actually ridden it! Here's a pic of Gabriel enjoying riding Reggie. Attachments:

What a lovely picture, they look really good together.
Reggie really is a handsome horse, I will be interested to see any videos you may make of his progression through training.
It must be wonderful having Gabriel working with you, Michael and Annie - fate played a good hand there.
Best wishes, Sarah. xx

Love the new style of newsletter with the fabulous pics. Its great to get that update. I know I do go on about this boy, but I just love the big close up pic of Reggie. His face is just so young looking and innocent. Very glad to learn that Avril is continuing to make steady progress and remembering to take things steadier. Hope you all enjoy it Angela

I love the addition of pictures with the updates of the horses. So glad to hear you are back in the saddle Avril, and to hear all the latest from MSC. I share your hope for a slightly less muddy winter - that said, we are due torrential rain all day tomorrow and through the night, so I think my boys will be glad to stand in for a break. I saw a most interesting sight in the paddocks today, a little mini whirlwind kicked off, sending dust and leaves spiraling upwards, and poor Lucky got caught in its path as it travelled across the paddock, down through the school and vanished into my neighbours garden! Thank you Avril for another brilliant newsletter, and I hope you continue to make steady progress back to full health. Best wishes, Sarah. xx

Thank you so much for the lovely feedback ladies and good to know adding pictures of the horses is well received. Reggie is indeed sweetly innocent but he has a rival. Howie is also a contender in the naive and untarnished stakes! I've never seen a real life whirlwind, maybe they are unique to the New Forest, you certainly have your own micro climate there, Sarah! Hope Lucky wasn't too startled by it. With bad weather on the way we must make sure everyone is wearing rugs by tomorrow.

Absolutely loved getting the updated newsletter with pics, sometimes it is hard for me to visualize the horses. Loving the look of Millie and Satch, just beautiful, in fact all of the horses looked great!
