Good morning all. I'm on the mend after a hip op, having been home from hospital for a week now. I was so very ill until last Thursday as opiate painkillers made me VERY ill! Now onwards and upwards!
I hope you all have a happy and peaceful Christmas and New Year. xxx

Hi Liz,
Glad to hear you are home in time for Christmas and the operation was a success. Pain killers can be a mixed blessing but sometimes there's no choice. We will raise a glass to your enhanced mobility and hope it isn't too long before you are striding over the hills leaving your JRTs struggling to catch up! xx

Hi Liz, Glad you are home and on the mend. Yes opiates are pretty awful and often cause terrible nightmares, I am stunned that they cannot find better painkillers these days. Hip ops are a long haul I'm afraid but can make a great difference. My mum-in-law had her hip replaced about 6 years ago and she struggled for the 1st year, but has gone from strength to strength. These days she is very agile and fit and still rides her bike 20 miles at a time (she is 82!). Positive thinking and good vibes, Erika & George!
