Hi Liz, Thank you for the thought! We were actually up in Dunster a few weeks ago, looking at some pygmy goats. The countryside was absolutely spectacular, lush and breathtaking up that way - as only north Devon and north-west Somerset can be - and I thought of you!
I hope you will all be posting full reports and photos of the party so that those of us who aren't coming will be able to enjoy it vicariously!
Very best wishes, Dawn

Hi Em, It's a pleasure. Remember that I won't be having to pay for travel and won't be undertaking any of the organisation work (my hat is off to you and, - in previous years - Helen for that).
I have sent a cheque to Avril. There will be all sorts of expenses in addition to food and drink, so I am happy for it to go into the pot.
I just hope you all have a wonderful time - which I'm sure you will!
Kindest regards, Dawn

You are welcome to sleep in the Hobbit Dwelling Sarah! it should be completed in time for the party. We will carry on the tradition of the horse tour which is always a pleasure for us too. Looking forward to endless horsey chat and hearing the latest on your two boys, F&C!

Em, I have replied on the FB thread for what to bring, but in case you miss it ....
Do you need more plates and glasses?
Shall I bring the usual wine box (!) some soft drinks, burgers and sausages and buns, maybe some potato salad, crisps .... anything else?
SO excited about catching up with you all again, and if I can find someone to take care of the dogs and horses, Simon and Meg want to come too.
Not long now ..... ;D
Best wishes, Sarah. xx

Hi Sarah
We are good for plates etc.. Don't go mad just bring what you wish to eat and drink for yourself and a little extra to share.. if we all do that then the party will be great and we should have fully bellies and comfortably fuzzy heads ha ha ha

I discovered a local farm shop who do the most gorgeous homemade quiches so I think I'll get one of those - the ham and stilton is very tasty! I might bake a cake, too!

Hi All
We are near to the big day.. I just want everyone know we are ok for plastic plates cups and cutlery etc.. and also a small marquee in case it rains.. so please just bring what you wish to eat and drink and a little to share.. don't feel you have to over board as it is not necessary..
As an added extra myself and a fellow student are very much hoping to do some work on the horses while we are there ( but before the drinking!) we are both well into our training of the Masterson Method towards being certified. It is a wonderful horse led technique that works on the key junctions of the body to enable the horse to release tension and hence improve performance. We are happy for anyone to watch. I am very much hoping we can but I haven't finalized with Avril as we don't want to cause Avril extra work ( however the 2 teenagers I am bringing with me can always do any extra mucking out Avril lol)
See you all soon x x x

We are looking forward greatly to the party next week. Thanks Em for all your organisation. I love making coleslaw - would it be helpful to bring a big bowl along with our other food? Sarah, if your Custard is the Custard from Avril, I'm based at the yard he used to live at and I remember him - will be nice to hear how he is doing. Gilly x
